Bit of a quiet day: not too many sales, not too many stories. The first 3 items above were from yardsales, and the Japanese books and Hello Kitty dolls were from Craigslist.

Picked up Mean Bean Machine from a guy who was selling about 15-20 complete Genesis games, and some assorted cart only Genesis and N64 games. Asking price was $1 per game. We tried to get both games for $1, but the guy wouldn't budge because he was "selling them for someone else". No big deal - both are games we wanted so we were willing to pay the asking price.

Purchased the Japanese manga through CL. We didn't know how many books there were until after bringing them home. The asking price was $1 or $40 for all. We emailed an offer of $30 for all and it was accepted. After we picked up the books, the seller emailed me the following day apologizing and saying she found more, and asked if we wanted to come by again to get the rest. So, all in all, we ended up scoring 130 books, which worked out to be $0.23 per book. Everything's in excellent shape, too.

The Hello Kitty plushies were listed on CL for $10. We offered $5 total for both, and the seller accepted. These were actually part of a series of McDonald's toys that came with an Extra Value meal back in 2000, which apparently sparked a frenzy in Singapore. They are still sealed in their bags, so the plushies are in great shape.
