Complete washout for us today.
We hit 4 sales, one of which was a church sale that started at 9am. We got there at 8:45, and they made us wait outside in the rain until 9 on the button. Real nice.
LATER...
Unexpected purchases!
We got the Intellivision at a sale down the street (running from 1-3pm, yeesh). The wife was exclaiming how she's never even seen it, and he hasn't touched it since 198x, and has been packed up in a box. Offered $3, he countered with $10. Tried to reason with him that it might not work, and we have to actually get it set up to a TV. "It works." So we tried $3 again, he came back with $5. We used the "how about we meet in the middle" line for $4. He wouldn't take less than $5. So we accepted. We didn't have this model yet, so it was worth the buy.
The NES stuff was from a woman who we exchanged numbers with. It was the first time we actually got called back. They belonged to her son, who wanted 50 bucks. We were able to talk him down to $10. They said there were 21 games, when we got them we counted 22, and when we opened the NES there was another game, for a total of 23. Even though the games are pretty common, we surprisingly didn't have most of them.
